The ECOFUEL™ CityBag® Trio Bundle

Performance ⟶ The CityBag® Trio combines three kiln-dried firewoods with different burning characteristics. Birch lights readily and builds into a bright, lively flame, Oak gives strong heat with a slower, steadier burn once established, and Ash provides a familiar, dependable fire with steady heat and low ash. All three firewoods are kiln-dried to below 20% moisture. For reference, SEAI benchmarks hardwood at 20% moisture at around 4.16 kWh/kg, equivalent to approximately 14,200 BTU/kg.

Use ⟶ Start with a Waxie and dry kindling, allowing good airflow while the fire gets established. Choose the firewood to suit the fire you want to build: Birch for an easier, more responsive start, Oak when you want a slower, steadier burn, or Ash for familiar, dependable performance. Once established, adjust the appliance air controls as required. Suitable for wood-burning stoves, open fires, fire pits and other appliances designed for firewood. Always follow the appliance manufacturer’s instructions, use a properly fitting fireguard with open fires and use fire pits outdoors only.

Bag Size ⟶ The Trio includes three CityBags®, each containing approximately 100kg of firewood: one Birch, one Oak and one Ash, giving approximately 300kg of kiln-dried firewood in total. Logs are cut to around 25cm long, with natural diameter variation of roughly 7–15cm. Each CityBag® is roughly comparable in size to a household wheelie bin. For comparison with other firewood formats, each bag is equivalent to approximately 0.20m³ of stacked firewood, or around 0.29m³ loose / bulk equivalent. Across the Trio, that is approximately 0.60m³ stacked, or around 0.87m³ loose / bulk equivalent, using the SEAI average conversion factor of 1 stacked m³ = 1.43 bulk m³. These are approximate firewood equivalents rather than the physical volume of the bags. The bundle also includes one box of kiln-dried kindling and one bag of 30 Waxies natural firelighters.

Storage ⟶ Store your CityBags® in a dry, well-ventilated area protected from rain and damp. Keep the logs and kindling under cover and away from persistent ground moisture so they stay dry and ready to use. Store Waxies in a cool, dry place away from heat and open flames until required.

The firewood in the CityBag® Trio is sourced from European forests managed under forestry regulations governing harvesting and regeneration. These rules are designed to control felling and protect forests, soil, water and surrounding habitats.
