Birch is a firewood you notice before it is even lit, with distinctive silver bark that looks good on display, then lights easily into a bright, lively flame. Kiln-dried to below 20% moisture and Woodsure Ready to Burn certified, it is suitable for wood-burning stoves, open fires, fire pits and other suitable solid-fuel appliances.
SingleDeck® contains approximately 400kg of Birch firewood, giving regular firewood users a substantial stock of dry logs at home and helping reduce repeat orders through the season. Logs are typically around 25cm long and arrive hand-stacked in a timber crate measuring approximately H0.80m × W1.15m × D1.05m, with the wood stacked slightly above the top frame and covered by a recyclable cardboard lid.
Your SingleDeck® is delivered by tail-lift truck and, where access allows, moved by pallet truck closer to where you plan to store it.
We absolutely love birch as firewood, especially for the smell. We have 2 wood-burning stoves; one in the house and one in our sauna. The sauna especially works the best with these logs going up to close to 100°C!.

Performance. Birch is kiln-dried to below 20% moisture, lights easily and gives a bright, lively flame, making it well-suited to everyday fires where easy lighting matters.
Use. Suitable for wood-burning stoves, open fires, fire pits and other appliances designed for firewood. Always follow the appliance manufacturer’s instructions, ensure adequate ventilation and keep combustible materials clear of the fire. Use a properly fitting fireguard with open fires and use fire pits outdoors only.
Crate Size. SingleDeck® contains approximately 400kg of firewood. Logs are typically around 25cm long, with a natural diameter variation of roughly 7–15cm. The external crate dimensions are approximately H0.80m × W1.15m × D1.05m, with the logs stacked slightly above the top frame. The crate contains approximately 0.8m³ of stacked firewood, equivalent to approximately 1.15m³ loose/bulk equivalent using the SEAI average conversion factor of 1 stacked m³ = 1.43 bulk m³.
Storage. Store the crate in a dry, well-ventilated location protected from rain and damp. The recyclable cardboard lid covers the logs for delivery but is not intended as long-term outdoor weather protection.
