Oak is the firewood for when you want the fire to settle in and stay with you, with a beautiful flame, strong, steady heat and a slower burn between refuels. Kiln-dried to below 20% moisture and Woodsure Ready to Burn certified, it is suitable for wood-burning stoves, open fires, fire pits and other suitable solid-fuel appliances.
With approximately 400kg of Oak firewood in each SingleDeck®, this format suits regular burners who want a proper supply of longer-burning logs ready at home. Logs are typically around 25cm long and are hand-stacked in a timber crate measuring approximately H0.80m × W1.15m × D1.05m, with the wood stacked slightly above the top frame and covered by a recyclable cardboard lid.
Your SingleDeck® is delivered by tail-lift truck and, where access allows, moved by pallet truck closer to where you plan to store it.
I have never seen wood this dry! These logs are stored away & hopefully will bring us to Christmas and beyond. The logs burn bright & last well in the stove. I would definitely buy a pallet of oak again.

Performance. Oak is kiln-dried to below 20% moisture and gives a beautiful flame with strong, steady heat, a slower burn and longer intervals between refuels.
Use. Oak is a dense firewood, so it can take a little longer to light and benefits from good airflow while the fire is getting established. Start with dry kindling and keep the appliance air controls open until the logs are burning well, then adjust the airflow as required. Oak may also spark more than some other firewood species, so use a properly fitting fireguard with open fires. Suitable for wood-burning stoves, open fires, fire pits and other appliances designed for firewood. Always follow the appliance manufacturer’s instructions and use fire pits outdoors only.
Crate Size. SingleDeck® contains approximately 400kg of firewood. Logs are typically around 25cm long, with natural diameter variation of roughly 7–15cm. The external crate dimensions are approximately H0.80m × W1.15m × D1.05m, with the logs stacked slightly above the top frame. The crate contains approximately 0.8m³ of stacked firewood, with an approximate loose / bulk equivalent of 1.15m³ using the SEAI average conversion factor of 1 stacked m³ = 1.43 bulk m³.
Storage. Store the crate in a dry, well-ventilated location protected from rain and damp. The recyclable cardboard lid covers the logs for delivery but is not intended as long-term outdoor weather protection.
